After so many years of slow industry development of Pekin duck production in the Philippines, the opportunity to do pekin duck farming in the Philippines is now possible with the production of Certified F1 ducklings.
The main advantages of Certified F1:
1. Higher meat yield per duck. Harvest weight is 3.5-3.7  kilos
2. Best Meat Quality ; tender and internationally acceptable standards
3.  Quicker turn around. Only 45 days to harvest. weighing 3.5 kilos average!
4. Efficient feed converter to meat.
5. Uniform in size translate to a higher number of productive ducks per harvest
6. Hardy and easy to grow.
8. Low  housing cost; higher profit

Good day Doc,

Do keep me posted as to when I could pick up my order of ducklings for the pilot farm in Zambales.

Thanks and Cheers!

Greetings DocAgui!

We are just waiting for hatch trends because the earlier hatchlings are still small and the volume is just increasing. Rest assured doc that your regular orders will be delivered the earliest time possible.

Thank you and Cheers!

Glad to hear that, Doc!

If things would turn out good (including our marketing), We might also rear pekin ducks in Sta. Maria or San Jose del Monte, Bulacan by March or April "With fingers Crossed"... together with a group of small livestock producers in the area. This is apart from the Zambales production.

With the existing monthly carcass requirement of pekin ducks that the market needs, it really is high time for us Filipino Farmers to have our own locally produced pekin ducks. Also, with you in the forefront, let's formalize a group (Organization) for us small farmers who caters to duck meat production.

We, as small farmers can help the government slowly eradicate smuggling of this commodity while we earn a decent income in return; and block if not control the entry of possible AI infected poultry products!

Hats off to you Doc, for opening this opportunity to us small livestock producers!!!

Good Day Doc Erwin,

We would appreciate very much if you or Dr. Francis San Diego could share with us the technology on how to prepare the roasted  "Locally Produced" F1 Pekin Duck meat as appearing in the above posted pics.  Are special equipments needed in the preparation process?

This would greatly help the starting small farmers in their marketing efforts.

News
Gressingham partners with chef to promote duck cosumption
//18 Mar 2011
Award-winning speciality poultry producer, Gressingham Foods and Michelin-starred chef Galton Blackiston, have joined forces to encourage more people to cook and eat duck.
Galton’s role will be to develop recipes and promote Gressingham Duck as a tasty and simple home-cooked dish. The campaign will also involve attendance and demonstration at selected food festivals, on-pack promotions and cooking tips featured on Gressingham’s website.

A family business founded in 1971, Gressingham Foods is the only company in the world licensed to produce Gressingham Duck, a unique cross-breed of wild Mallard and Pekin renowned for its superior taste and higher percentage of breast meat.

Norfolk, UK-based Galton, and owner of Morston Hall says: “I’m very excited about working with Gressingham Foods – duck is such a fantastic product but people often lack the confidence to cook it. My aim is to get people eating duck all year by coming up with mouth-watering recipes and showing how versatile, tasty and affordable duck can be.”

William Buchanan, commercial director of Gressingham Foods, adds: “We are delighted to be working with Galton who is well-known for his nutritious, delicious and seasonal food. Having a high-profile and respected chef on board will undoubtedly be beneficial to our customers by increasing duck sales and the additional on-pack promotions will boost point-of-sale attractiveness of the products.”

Suggestion lang sa mga Pekin duck enthusiasts :

Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia is just a short plane ride via Cebu Pacific or Air Asia, mas mura pa pamasahe kesa papunta kayo ng Davao.

One of the best ay sa food park sa Center Point Mall right at the heart of K K .

Mag-observe kayo sabay na bakasyon.  Masisiyahan kayo, mura pa. May tatak pa na visited Malaysia ang passport nyo. Visa upon arrival so, walang hassle.

Hi Doc Erwin,

Re: Certified F1 Pekin Ducklings available! For local farming and export

Greetings Maverick

Thank you and regards

You can also use broiler feeds AS LONG AS, they are CRUMBLE type or PELLET type

FROM 150-190 per kilo volume po. End USER retail price is 240 per kilo

ESTIMATE ko po ay 125 to 150 pesos per kilo assuming you disposed them all and the quality is good.

4 may mga paseminar po ba kayo na ginagawa about F1 peking duck at kung meron man kailan at saan po ito?

Sir, Via electronic email po muna tayo; may libre pong manual via email padadala sa inyo; email lang po kayo sa freerangepoultry@yahoo.com to request for  copy then I will reply to you attached  the template manuals.
